My weekend!

On Friday, I went over to JC of Japan's house to pass out candy. Their house was a huge hit due to the massive decorations and surround sound Halloween music. My friend Angela is very appropriate with her drinking and decided not to drink until after the candy and children were gone. However, I had wine the second I got to her house. It was very cute to see all the children, older children and adults dressed up. I had a witch hat on, but it was to windy and kept blowing off. After the candy/costume change, we went to the Chiefs Club. I was very excited because I had only been to the Officers Club. We walked in and there was a band and a lot of old men. My friend Eko met me there and we all had lots of drinks which led to dancing, line dancing, dancing with the band, and slapping people's asses. By this time, everyone seemed drunk I know I was as Rosalind can tell you. Eko and I proceeded to go over the Honch area, off base bars mainly where the military go. We went to several bars and it was time to go. On Saturday, I dragged myself out of bed and got on a train to Yokohama. My new friend/coworker and her husband had invited me to Yokohama to show me around the area because they live there. We went to Chinatown and had Dim Sum, which was yummy and fun. At this restaurant, for around 30 dollars or 3000 yen they give you a menu and you just keep ordering whatever you want from it. Most of the food, came in cute little baskets. After, we walked over to a giant ferris wheel where it was very slow, but gave great views of Yokohama. I really liked hanging out with them, but have not thought of a nickname for them yet. However, in two weeks, they are taking me to Mt. Fuji so I have some time. Today, I woke up did laundry, which was easier this week. I came home and got ready to go meet my new students. A person named Kiko met me at the train station and we went to their house. It is a girl around 25 and her mother. They had minimal English skills meaning the daughter could understand a little and the mother even less. The daughter is planning to move to Australia and wants to improve for her trip. The mother works with several Americans and wants to improve her conversation skills. Basically, I am getting paid to talk to them. Our next meeting, will be on 11/16 so hopefully this will be a good way for me to earn some extra money for traveling!!!
